Swedish nationalist Jörn Donner said in the newspaper "Johnny Kniga" 6/2003 that the Finnish language and its speakers should have been destructed in the 19th century. I am working on my family tree and need some help. This is what I know. My great-grandfather, David Sopronyi, emigrated from Hungary to the USA around 1913 (?). David was 1 of 11 boys and 1 girl. He came over with his brothers Michael and Lewis (?). Lewis eventually went to Canada. Michael and David resided in New Jersey. David he married Maria/ Mary homonyik, also emigrated from Hungary. They had 6 children - Mary, Lewis, George, Julius, William and Joseph (my grandfather). Mary, Lewis, George, Julius and Joseph had a different spelling of the last name - Saproni. William spelled his last name the same as their parents, Sopronyi. David was born April 16, 1892 and passed away in March of 1966. Mary/ Maria was born July 29, 1889 and passed away in December 1978. The other 8 brothers and 1 sister stayed in Hungary. If you can help my out, please e-mail me. Thanks!!
